If you're here, that means you either are a knitter, or you're interested in buying something that I've knitted.
Before I go further, for anyone who is reading this who is going to the ACFW Conference in Nashville, these will make fabulous Christmas presents, and if you tell me you want one, I'll just bring it in my suitecase.
Now, I don't usually sell things that I make, because quite frankly I don't have a lot of time to knit. However, I often get caught waiting for a train in my travels, or stuck in traffic where it takes 4 or more light changes to make it through the intersection. My knitting travels with me most places that I go. I have been known to pull it out in the car, since I can put my car in park or even turn the car off when I have to wait for a long time. Road rage does not affect me. I have something else to do rather than sit and fume in traffic.
| For knitters - I have a FANTASTIC program that creates patterns for a variety of garments on the computer. I enter in all the details - gauge, measurements and/or size of the finished garment, and the computer makes and prints out a pattern. I have nothing to gain if you buy this, I do not get a commission. I just think it's great, and I use this all the time, so I highly recommend it. They are in Victoria, BC, Canada, and the company is called, what else, Knitware. and you can either download the program or they will mail you a CD. |
| For those interested in my knitting - here is my
latest project. I started out by making one as a gift, and I made another for myself,
except a friend wanted it, so I sold it to her instead. And then her daughter wanted one,
and then another friend wanted one, and then the friend's sister, and so on, and so on...
and soon I had multiple requets just like the old commercial that multiplies exponentially
with every passing few seconds. At first I thought it was quite funny, but actualy, I
really enjoyed making them, so I decided to make more and sell them. I'm going to use the
money to put against a writers's conference I'm going to, so that's kind of a side bonus. At the mall where I shop, these have the exotic name of |
|
It's a scarf that's a tube made of fancy/fuzzy yarn. Of course most of the time you wear it as a scarf or boa. But there's more! (this is me wearing the Dark And Dreamy) |

Then you use it as a hood if it's windy, snowing, or
raining, or just downright cold! They don't blow off or need to be tied like a scarf,
because it goes over your head and then sits around your neck like a collar. (this is Rainbow Dreams) |
And then, when you take it off, |
|
pull it, and it's a scarf again! |
They're fun, they're pretty, and very popular. They sell for $25 plus tax in the mall by my home, and I'm selling them for $20. This is my own original pattern, and I'm really pleased with how they're turning out.
I'm making them in lots of colors, but not too many of each, so it's first call, and when they're gone, they're gone. If you buy one and you're going to the ACFW conference in Nashville in 2005, I'll bring it with me. If you want me to mail it, then email me and I'll let you know how much for the postage to your area.
Here's all the available colors. Happy browsing! And please, feel free to email me if would like one or if you have any questions.
