Welcome to my home on the Net! I've learned the hard way that a book trailer is a lot more work than I thoughtt. But as I'm working toward my next book release, it's done. My next project is to get a blog started where everyone who wants can read or participate. It promises to be a lot of fun.
But until then, I invite you to check out my preparations for my next book, A NARROW PATH. My hero and heroine are Mennonites, one modern, one Old Order, and the differences between them can be quite challenging. It's scheduled for release in Spring 2010. This is a new publisher for me, Abingdon Press, and I'm very excited to be working with them. For now, I'm going to drop a hint and say that everything in the book trailer is somewhere in the book, and that after it's released, there's going to be a contest quiz. Another announcement, my last release, which was a Christmas novella for 2008 - A CONNECTICUT CHRISTMAS was a finalist in the 2009 ACFW Book Of The Year contest. I don't often enter contests, but I'm glad I entered this one. If you haven't read it, you don't have to wait until next Christmas, it's always on Amazon.com. In the meantime, I've been very involved with the music side of my life - I'm in a jazz band, I'm the bass player for the Golden Ears Jazz Band. We're back into practice mode for the new season, and things promise to be a lot of fun. A friend is trying get me to join the local amateur concert band and I'm considering it, because they want me to play the upright string bass. Of course my husband is teasing me that in order to do that, I'll need to stand on a stool. Bless his heart for that bit of encouragement. Old news, but I hate to delete the link - my first Love Inspired book, HEARTS IN HARMONY won first place in the Romance category in the WRITE CANADA 2006 contest. My fourth Love Inspired book, HEAD OVER HEELS, placed in the 2007 Romantic Times Reviewers Choice selections.
